Abstract
I present the status and future aims of my doctoral project on prospective primary school teachers' mathematical and didactical knowledge about rational numbers, based on the anthropological theory of the didactic. In particular, I will focus on the comparative aspect of the project, related to student teachers from two very different institional settings, teacher education in Indonesia and in Denmark. This part will be based on the levels of didactic codetermination.
