The concept of Biodiversity in the organization of museum exhibitions

In this presentation, I address current issues concerning the concept of Biodiversity in the organization of science museum exhibitions.

I present an analysis of the scholarly knowledge of Biodiversity and discuss some implications to its transition from the scientific field to the museum and diorama-type exhibitions.

I address issues of the polysemy and ambiguity of the concept of Biodiversity by examining how it is expressed in two sources of scholarly knowledge in order to understand what will happen to it when exhibited in museums.
