Lecturer Thomas Britz visits The Research Group on History and Philosophy of Science and Science Studies
Senior lecturer in mathematics Thomas Britz at the University of New South Wales will be spending part of his sabbatical with the research group on history and philosophy of science at DSE from March to June 2017. Thomas will arrive on March 15 and be working mainly with Henrik Kragh Sørensen and Mikkel Willum Johansen on various projects including one on representations in mathematical practice. Thomas is an expert in matroid theory and, more generally, in combinatorics which is a domain of mathematics characterized by the multiplicity of representational forms.
