Marianna Bosch and John Monaghan visit DSE

Within one week, the department will receive independent visits by two of the world’s leading mathematics educators.

Marianna Bosch from Ramon Llull U. (Spain) who gives a public seminar at the department Friday Nov. 10, 16-17. Marianna will talk about new directions of research on curriculum changes in school mathematics.

John Monaghan from Leeds U. (UK) who gives a public seminar at the department Tuesday Nov. 14, 16-17. John visits the university as a key note speaker for the conference, organized Wednesday by N. Grønbæk and the rest of CMU. Monaghan’s main specialty is, indeed, the role of computer technology in mathematics education.
