Tenure-track assistant Professor or Associate Professor within university science education and/or digital university education
The Department of Science Education seeks applications for two positions with different profiles (see below). The positions are at either tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor level. Candidates who are in doubt about which level of position (assistant or associate professor) to apply for are encouraged to apply for both levels. The two positions are open from February 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
We seek candidates with a research record within higher education teaching and learning related to science education. Candidates are to make explicit which of the following profiles they apply for:
Profile 1: General higher science education
For this profile, we seek candidates with a research record within higher science education in general. This can include university teacher competences, curriculum development, the interaction of the cultural and institutional setting with different student backgrounds, disciplinary science teaching and learning in higher education. Candidates with other research profiles in teaching and learning in higher education are also encouraged to apply and will be considered.
Profile 2: Digitalization of higher education
For this profile, we seek candidates who can demonstrate research experience within the consequences and possibilities of digitalization of higher education; this can include students’ digital literacy, the digitalization of core topic curricula, and the integration of digital tools and media in higher education teaching and learning.
